DIAMOND BAR, Los Angeles County — October 25, 2026. Diamond Bar’s official community calendar lists two different public events Wednesday, October 28: free catalytic-converter vehicle identification etching in the morning and a virtual presentation on city finances in the evening. Residents should use the corresponding municipal notices for requirements, rather than assuming the two events are connected.

Free catalytic converter etching: 9–11 a.m.

The free service is listed for 9–11 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs, 22324 Golden Springs Drive, Diamond Bar. According to the city, personnel from the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station will etch vehicle identification numbers (VINs) on catalytic converters. The purpose is to provide a visible theft deterrent and aid identification if a stolen part is recovered.

Appointments are not available; service is listed as first-come, first-served. The city says the process takes only a few minutes. However, the listing does not guarantee a place in line, and VIN etching cannot prevent all theft. The city also says no monthly etching events are scheduled for November or December because of holidays. Check the official October 28 etching notice before traveling.

City finances and Measure Q presentation: 6–8 p.m. online

The city’s virtual informational presentation is scheduled 6–8 p.m. Wednesday, October 28 on Zoom. The city describes it as a roughly 90-minute overview of municipal fiscal challenges and information about Measure Q, followed by an opportunity for questions. The official listing says advance registration is not required and provides connection details.

This is an informational municipal session, not a California58 endorsement of any ballot measure. Readers should independently consult official election materials to learn the legal effect of any proposal.

Other city meetings and activities

Diamond Bar’s calendar also shows a Planning Commission meeting Tuesday, October 27, at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall’s Windmill Room, and a Halloween party at Pantera Park Saturday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to noon. Check each event notice for participation rules or updates.
